Wonderful Washington

I’ve been fortunate enough to have visited Washington several times over the years. This is the first time I’ve been able to feel like I can spend some time actually exploring and taking my time to appreciate the amazingness of the state. As luck would have it, it rained every day we were there, but we did spend most of our time in the rainforest, so it was pretty fitting.

Much like Oregon, what makes Washington so cool is the variety of climates you can see in just one day. We spent our time zig zagging around the northwestern part of the state and enjoyed the forests, the waterfalls, the coasts, the mountains, and the port towns. Even made some flying friends along the way.

Tom continues to be a reliable and comfortable travel buddy. Allowing us to sleep and cook closer to these locations, versus staying at a hotel in a city, has been a huge advantage. It’s hard to muster up the energy for a morning hike, or stay at a place after sunset, if you have a long drive ahead of you.
